The world-renown Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) serves as the main research center for the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. The “Jefferson Laboratory,” is one of seventeen federally funded United States Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories and Technology Centers. The CEBAF’s specific purpose is to study hadronic matter, which is used by scientists to probe the interior of the nucleus to study its properties. Specific project scopes consisted of renovations to the 67,000 SF Applied Research Center, as well as the renovation and addition to the main Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility totaling 140,000 SF.
