Frequently Asked Questions

I’m ready to move forward – how do I get a proposal for my project?

To get started, we ask for a brief narrative of the project, a detailed summary of the requested cost estimating scope (this can be communicated using CSI Divisions), as well as all engagement resources to be sent over in PDF format. Examples of a project’s engagement resources include current construction drawings, specifications packages, geotechnical reports, etc.

What type of clients do you typically serve?

Most of our clients come from the architectural / engineering community as we provide cost estimating throughout a project’s design. We also work with public agencies, developers, and select general contractors.

What are your fees for cost estimating services?

Our fees are based on several factors including the size and complexity of the project, the current level of the project’s design, the amount of engagement resources to be utilized, the level of granularity we are asked to provide, as well as any unique formatting requests.

How long will it take for you to produce a construction cost estimate on my project?

This will depend on size, complexity, and other factors – on average, our cost managers typically take 5-10 business days to turn around a cost estimate deliverable once our production process commences.

What type of contract vehicles do you use?

In most circumstances, we utilize a fixed-fee (lump-sum) contract vehicle.

It’s important that my project remains confidential – how can you ensure that you will honor this request?

While each situation is unique, we’re happy to sign non-disclosure / confidentiality agreements as required.
